Hello. My name is Diana Hydock & along with my husband, Michael, we have created a company called One White Flower. We are here to offer you fine art paintings, bold & whimsical garden sculpture and a line of collector, one-of-a kind dolls, guardian angels, and mixed-media greeting cards. My life evolves around expression through art and I hope that my work aids in inspiring you to follow your true inner guidance in the world and find your own unique creative spirit. I watched and helped my artist father work on sign painting, decoration making for elementary school extravaganza talent shows and display work for Sears & Roebuck. I worked alongside my mother & grandmother doing knitting, crocheting, sewing and embroidery. When I was asked to go outside to play, I remember hiding in a cornfield, making dolls with the ears of corn and selling Barbie Clothes for 5 cents. My first award came from winning a Jungle Larry poster contest and later in life winning several best of shows, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place awards in Art shows across the country. I have won awards at the Canton Museum of Art and Youngstown Art Museum. I taught art in elementary School and classes in weaving for the blind. My work led me to designing and constructing newspaper layouts and Production for the Parkettes, an Internationally known gymnastics program producing young elite and Olympic gymnasts. Each art piece I offer is a little portion of my life. I hope you enjoy.
